Combined Worship Service on April 28

Baldwin will host one combined worship service at 10AM on April 28 followed by a pot-luck luncheon in honor of our two seminarian interns, Jessica Bennett and Wally Culp. Prayer Shawls Blessed

In a new initiative at Baldwin, beautiful crocheted and knitted prayer shawls and lap robes are being made to bless those that are in need due to illness or loss.  The shawls were blessed today at the Palm Sunday service.  The prayer shawl group meets on Sunday evenings at 6PM and Thursday evenings at Noon in the Education building.  Contact Jessica Bennett for more information.

Land of the Lost & Found

Baldwin hosted its annual church-wide drama last Sunday during both worship services.  The drama highlighted the three parables told by Jesus in Luke Chapter 15 – the lost coin, the lost sheep, and the prodigal son.  Dozens of church members of all ages took part as actors, singers, musicians, set-makers, sound technicians, costume-makers, practicing over many weeks leading up to last week’s performances.  Congratulations to all who participated.  It was a joyous occasion for all in attendance.

What to expect for Sunrise Service

One of the special things about Baldwin Church is the Easter Sunrise Service at the Indian Landing Boat Club.  If you have never been to the sunrise service, here are some things to remember: It is usually quite cold down by the water early in the morning, so wear warm clothes and perhaps a blanket to wrap up in. Carpool from the church parking lot if possible.  Parking is limited at the boat club. The service begins at 6:00am, but sunrise is at 6:51.  So bring a flashlight so that you can see to read the music sheets. Don’t forget...
