About Us

Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church

Our church is part of the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church.  We are located at the corner of General’s Highway (MD-178) and Millersville Road in Millersville, Maryland.  Our historical stone church was built in 1896 and has beautiful Tiffany stained glass windows.  The education building across from the sanctuary hosts our church office, fellowship hall, history room (full of historical items from the church’s history and from Francis Asbury and John Wesley), and the Baldwin Child Care Center.  The fellowship hall is used for a variety of activities.

Baldwin Memorial UMC is led by Reverend Michael Beiber along with Wesley Theological Seminary Interns.

As with all churches, our programming has been impacted by Covid-19.  We are now back to holding regular services at 9 am and 10:30 am on Sundays.   Children are always welcome in our services even if they make a little joyful noise unto the Lord!

Our informal service is at 9AM in the Education Building, Fellowship Hall. During the school year, children join us for worship at 9AM and then dismiss to Sunday School.  A traditional service is held at 10:30AM in the stone church.  As Methodists, we celebrate Holy Communion at services on the first Sunday of the month as well as on special days of worship – all are welcome at God’s table.  During months when there is a 5th Sunday, we typically combine the services and have one service at 10 am.  During the week, we host a Bible Study led by the Pastor on Wednesdays at 7 pm and Thursdays at 10 am.  The Church Calendar has times and locations for all events held at Baldwin Memorial, however, we encourage you to check the Home Page for news updates in case there will be any special or combined services that do not get entered in the calendar.
